In this exhibition, Asmar explores “repetition” not merely as a formal element, but as a tool for uncovering and searching for hidden narratives within a single image. Asmar starts with a hand-printed piece and returns to it repeatedly, discovering how each repetition can generate a different narrative. With every addition, erasure, or modification—a new meaning emerges, a question arises, and another story is born elsewhere.

each work in this series is an attempt to recapture what has been lost. repetition is not simply a redoing, but a means of bringing back what was absent, and a way of reviving narratives that were erased and rewritten.

في هذا المعرض، أستكشف التكرار ليس بوصفه عنصرًا شكليًا فحسب، بل كأداة للكشف والبحث عن السرديات المخبأة داخل الصورة الواحدة. أبدأ من طبعة يدوية، وأعود إليها مرارًا، لأكتشف كيف يمكن لتكرارها أن ينتج سردًا مختلفًا في كل مرة. في كل تبديل، إضافة، محو، أو تعديل، يظهر معنى جديد، وينشأ سؤال عن السرد الحقيقي، وتولد قصة أخرى في مكان آخر، بل شعور آخر ولحظة أخرى.

كل عمل في هذه السلسلة هو محاولة لإعادة التقاط ما فات. التكرار ليس مجرد إعادة، بل أداة لحضور ما كان غائبًا، ولإحياء السرديات التي تُمحى وتُعاد كتابتها
